Major Slovakian Ice Cream Producer Mraziarne Acquired by Bancroft

Bancroft Private Equity, in a press release, has stated that it acquired a 94.36% share of Mraziarne a.s. Presov. Mraziarne a.s. Presov is the Slovakia-based producer of ice cream.

Frost (Mraziarne a.s. Presov) is one of the largest producers of frozen fruit and vegetables, ice cream, fish, and ready made frozen meals in Slovakia. Founded in 2001, its primary brand, Frost, is the best selling ice cream product in the country.

The Bancroft Group, L.P. was founded in 1989 with the goal of investing and acquiring businesses in Central and Eastern Europe. It has provided advice to many U.S. firms purchasing companies or establishing businesses in Eastern Europe.
