Mid Europa Partners currently manages three funds; AIG Emerging Europe Infrastructure Fund LP, Emerging Europe Convergence Fund II LP, and Mid Europa Fund III LP. The three funds combine for a total of nearly €3.0 billion in assets under management by Mid Europa.

Invitel Holdings, the Hungarian telecom majority-owned by Mid Europa Partners, is reportedly in the early stages of negotiations that could possibly result in the sale of its entire international wholesale business to Türk Telekom. Mid Europa first invested in Invitel in 2009, acquiring just over 64%. The firm increased its holding to 91.8% through two additional acquisition moves which were completed in January 2010. Should a deal with Türk Telekom be successfully reached it would include Invitel subsidiaries AT-Invitel, EuroWeb Romania, and Invitel International. Some estimates put the value of Invitel's Hungarian operations near €250 million.

Energy 21, a leader in the Czech solar energy market, has reached a deal with CEE private equity firm Mid Europa Partners that will provide much needed capital to aid their growth in Eastern Europe. Mid Europa announced this week plans to acquire a strategic stake in Energy 21 and provide a new infusion of equity. The company hopes to build on the Energy 21 deal, increasing its presence in the region's renewable energy sector.

Mid Europa Partners, the independent CEE private equity firm formed by EMP Europe, is ramping up its expansion efforts in the Bulgarian television market. Having acquired Interaktivni Tehnologii AD (ITV) late last year for an undisclosed sum, Mid Europa has committed to investing €45 million in Bulgaria, which includes the amount payed for ITV. The company re-branded ITV as Total TV and currently controls 15% of the regional market. The new investment in Bulgaria is aimed at increasing that market share to as much as 30% while also paying down the DHT company's debt.

Mid Europa Partners, the CEE private equity firm, recently announced the completion of their acquisition of ITV Partner, a Bulgarian satellite pay TV provider. The deal adds to Mid Europa's already established cable TV and direct-to-home (DTH) holdings in South East Europe, a sector the company includes as part of its investment strategy. Other similar Mid Europa holdings in the region include Telemach, Total TV, and SBB.

TDC, Denmark's leading provider of land-line phone access, has reached an agreement to sell its Hungarian unit Invitel to CEE investment firm Mid Europa Partners, who will purchase a controlling share for nearly € 7.4 million. In addition to the 64.6% stake in Invitel Holdings AS, Mid Europa has also agreed to take on all rights and obligations of an existing € 34.1 million subordinated PIK loan, and submit a tender offer for a € 125 million loan due in 2013.

Following an announcement in May of this year regarding the sale of UPC Slovenia, Liberty Global has completed the deal with Mid Europa Partners, giving the CEE equity firm 100% ownership.

Mid Europa Partners, the owner of Danish molding and casting company DISA Group, has announced the completion of a merger between DISA and another portfolio company, Wheelabrator. Wheelabrator is an international company operating in the metal surface preparation field.

Liberty Global, Inc., owners of UPC Slovenia, announced in mid-April its intentions to sell the Slovenian cable and broadband provider to an undisclosed buyer. An agreement has now been reached that paves the way for Mid Europa Partners to acquire 100% ownership of UPC Slovenia. No details of the sale have been made public, but possible estimates have put the deal between €130-150 million. The acquisition still must go through the normal regulatory approval process.

Mid Europa Partners agreed to acquire up an additional 37.3% stake in Falcon Group from their consortium partner Lehman Brothers taking their own ownership in the Group to 74.6%. Falcon Group owns 100% of Ceske Radiokomunikace and 39.23% of T-Mobile Czech Republic which it acquired in November 2006.
