Liberty and Mid Europa Complete UPC Slovenia Deal

Following an announcement in May of this year regarding the sale of UPC Slovenia, Liberty Global has completed the deal with Mid Europa Partners, giving the CEE equity firm 100% ownership.

Though the details of the transaction have not been disclosed, estimates at the time of the May announcement put the deal between €130-150 million. Dragon Solak, head of Serbian TV and broadband provider SBB is slated to become the chairman at UPC Slovenia, a similar cable and broadband provider. The acquisition was carried out by Mid Europa's Stefan Tzvetkov, Andrej Babace and Andreea Constantinescu; this on the heals of managing director and COO Bill Morrow retiring after 10 years with the firm.
