Liberty and Mid Europa Complete UPC Slovenia Deal

Following an announcement in May of this year regarding the sale of UPC Slovenia, Liberty Global has completed the deal with Mid Europa Partners, giving the CEE equity firm 100% ownership.

Liberty Global Sells UPC Slovenia to Mid Europa Partners

Liberty Global, Inc., owners of UPC Slovenia, announced in mid-April its intentions to sell the Slovenian cable and broadband provider to an undisclosed buyer. An agreement has now been reached that paves the way for Mid Europa Partners to acquire 100% ownership of UPC Slovenia. No details of the sale have been made public, but possible estimates have put the deal between €130-150 million. The acquisition still must go through the normal regulatory approval process.

iEurope Fund exits ATech elektronika

iEurope Fund LLC sold its shares in Slovenia-based ATech elektronika, generating a gross IRR of about 18%. The private equity fund also realized a gross cash-on-cash return of more than 2.3 times. Through the partnership with iEurope, ATech elektronika doubled both the size of its business and its factory.

Mohar Satler acquired Donit Tesnit

Donfin, whose most important owners are Mohar Satler Investicije, acquired Slovenian company Donit Tesnit d.d. from its current owners Arx Equity Partners (former DBG Eastern Europe).

DBG Eastern Europe acquires Slovenian plastic components producer Tomplast

DBG Eastern Europe completed an MBI of a 100% shareholding in Slovenian plastic components producer Tomplast.

KD Holding increased its shareholding in Nama to 40%

– In May 2007, KD Holding made an additional investment in company Nama d.d. and consequently became the 40% owner of the company.
