SantaHouse has found great success in the hypermarket industry. Hypermarkets are large retail establishments with massive footprints that specialize in both department store products and supermarkets. Because of the broad swath of products, hypermarkets are able to add convenience to shoppers as a place to purchase everything they need, as well as a strong business model. SantaHouse began in 2007 with two storefronts in St. Petersburg. In one year, the company has expanded to 16 locations throughout the country. Troika Capital Partners intends on using its partnership and equity investment to expand the retail giant to over 100 new locations throughout Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. This will prove to create many new jobs and could impact Eastern Europe by recreating the retail experience for consumers.
